Refund policy

Last updated 27 August 2026

Placements are non-refundable, including when you are outbid. This page sets out exactly what that means and the narrow situations where money does come back.

Placements are non-refundable. Once a listing is live, the money is spent. This is the whole basis on which positions are priced, and it applies without exception to being outbid.

Why there are no refunds

A placement is an advertising slot on a public board whose order is set by money. Once your listing is published, it has been delivered: it is visible, it is linked, and anyone can see it. A later fall in position is not a failure of delivery — it is the board working exactly as described, because someone else paid more.

What is not refundable

The narrow exceptions

We will refund in these situations, and only these:

SituationWhat you get back
We take payment and then decline the listing at review, so it never goes liveThe full amount
A duplicate or clearly erroneous charge for the same placementThe duplicate amount
We remove your listing at the request of the person or brand named in itThe unexpired portion
We close the board, or the site, while your placement is liveThe unexpired portion
The site is unavailable for more than [72] continuous hours during your termThat period extended or credited

How to request one

Write to [billing@goatworld.io] within [14] days of the charge, with the payment reference, the board and the listing name. We aim to respond within [3 business days]. Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within [7–10 business days], less any non-recoverable payment processing fee where the law permits.

Cancelling a live placement

You can ask us to take your listing down at any time and we will, usually the same day. Taking it down early does not generate a refund of any part of the amount paid.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank. Where a chargeback is raised for a placement that was delivered as described, we may remove the listing without refund, recover the amount and any fees incurred, and decline future business.

Your statutory rights

Nothing here limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law where you live. Note that placements are advertising services supplied to a business or an individual buyer for publication, and any statutory cooling-off period that would otherwise apply ends once publication begins with your agreement.
