These terms govern buying a placement on goatworld and using the site. They are written to be read, not to be skipped, and the parts that cost you money are the ones in bold.

1. What goatworld is

goatworld is operated by [legal entity name], [registration number], of [registered address] ("we", "us"). These terms govern your use of goatworld.io and any placement you buy on it.

goatworld sells paid placements on public boards. The order of every board is determined solely by the amount of money placed against each entry. It is not a review, a poll, a survey, an award, a measure of quality, popularity, performance or value, and it is not editorially curated. Every board says so on its face.

2. Who may use it

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. If you are placing on behalf of a company or a client, you confirm you are authorised to do so and to bind them to these terms.

3. Placements, bidding and outbidding

• A placement is a listing on a board with an amount attached. Entries are ordered by that amount, highest first.
• Backing adds money to an entry that already exists, increasing its total. Backing does not make you the owner of that entry and gives you no control over it.
• Taking a rank means placing your own listing above another with a higher amount.
• Minimums, increments and the current asking price are shown on the site and may change at any time. The amounts in force are those displayed when you pay.
• A placement runs for [30] days from the day payment clears, unless stated otherwise at the point of sale.
• Position is never guaranteed. Anyone may outbid you at any moment, including immediately after you pay. You are buying entry to a board at an amount, not a rank for a period.
• Nothing is published until payment has cleared and a person has reviewed the listing. We may decline any listing for any lawful reason.

4. Payment and currency

Prices are shown in your local currency where we support one. All placements are recorded on a single internal scale so that listings paid in different currencies rank against each other; the conversion rate applied is the one displayed at the moment you pay and it is not revisited afterwards. Currency movement after payment does not change your recorded amount or your position.

Payments are processed by third parties. We do not receive or store your full card details. Taxes are charged where applicable and an invoice is issued to the details you provide.

5. No refunds

The narrow exceptions, and how to claim them, are set out in the Refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

If you initiate a chargeback for a placement that was delivered as described, we may remove your listing without refund, recover the amount and any fees, and decline future business.

6. Your content and the rules

You are responsible for everything you submit: the name, the description, the link and any image. You confirm it is accurate, lawful, not misleading, and that you hold all rights needed to publish it.

The Listing rules set out what we accept and what we decline, and form part of these terms. Categories we do not carry include political content of any kind, real-money gaming and betting, adult content, lending and investment offers, and anything directed at children.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and distribute your submitted content on the site and in material promoting the site, for as long as the listing is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in archives and screenshots.

7. Intellectual property and names

All trademarks, names and marks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on a board indicates a paid placement and nothing else — no affiliation, sponsorship, approval or endorsement is claimed or implied.

On boards that name people, we publish names only. We do not publish photographs of individuals. Nobody named on this site is involved with it, has consented to appear, or receives anything from it.

8. Removal and takedown

Any named person, their authorised representative, or the owner of a named brand may ask us to remove an entry by writing to [legal@goatworld.io]. We aim to act within [2 business days].

Where we remove an entry at the request of the person or brand named, the payer receives a refund of the unexpired portion of that placement. Where we remove a listing because it broke these terms, no refund is due.

9. No endorsement, no advice

Nothing on goatworld is a recommendation. It is not investment, financial, legal, medical, travel or educational advice. Boards covering universities, schools and courses are entertainment and must not be used to choose where to study; use the relevant national regulator and recognised published rankings instead.

10. Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, that any placement will produce traffic, clicks, customers, attention or revenue, or that any figure shown will prove accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, data or opportunity, however arising.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the total amount you paid us in the [three] months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Indemnity

You will indemnify, defend and hold harmless us, our officers, employees and contractors from and against all claims, demands, proceedings, losses, damages, liabilities, fines, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with:

• anything you submit or publish through the service, including any name, description, link or image;
• your breach of these terms, the listing rules, or any applicable law or regulation;
• any claim that your listing infringes intellectual property, publicity, privacy or personality rights, or is defamatory, misleading or unlawful;
• any dispute between you and a third party arising from a placement, including a person or brand you named;
• any tax, duty or regulatory charge properly attributable to you.

We will notify you of any claim to which this applies and you may take conduct of the defence, provided you do not settle in a way that admits liability on our part or imposes obligations on us without our written consent. This clause survives termination.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove any listing, or refuse service, where we believe it breaches these terms or the law, exposes us to liability, or damages the service. Where the breach is yours, no refund is due.

We may discontinue the service, any board, or the site as a whole. If we discontinue a board while a paid placement on it is live, we will refund the unexpired portion of that placement.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and the courts of [city, jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.

15. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The version in force for a placement is the version published when you paid. We will note the date of the most recent change at the top of this page.
